Privacy Policy

This website is a personal portfolio operated by Bimal Khatri from Pokhara, Nepal. This page explains what is collected when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
The short version. No account is required. Nothing is sold. Your IP address is never stored in readable form. The only information you actively give me is what you type into the contact form.
1. Who is responsible

2. What is collected
Contact form
When you submit the contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you type are stored so I can reply. That is the only place this site asks you for personal information, and every field is one you filled in yourself.
Analytics
This site uses two third-party analytics services and one first-party log:

Counting how often each app's share/download link is used. | Records the app, timestamp, device type, country and referring source. No cookies. The IP address is converted to a salted one-way hash that rotates every 24 hours and is never stored in readable form. |
Server logs
The hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard technical request logs for security and reliability. I do not use these for tracking.
3. What is not collected
- No accounts, passwords or payment details — this site has none of those.
- No precise location. Analytics resolves to country level only.
- No readable IP addresses in the share-link log.
- No advertising networks, retargeting pixels or data brokers.
- No selling or sharing of personal information with anyone, for any purpose.
4. Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies for browsing. Cookies come only from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, as listed above, and are used to tell repeat visits apart.
You can block or delete them at any time in your browser settings, or install any ad/tracker blocker — the site works exactly the same either way. Nothing here depends on cookies.
5. Why this is lawful
Analytics is used on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding whether the site works and is worth maintaining. If you would rather not be included, see the opt-out options below — they take effect immediately and cost you no functionality.
6. How long data is kept
- Contact messages — kept while the conversation is useful, then deleted on request.
- Google Analytics — 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google.
- Microsoft Clarity — session recordings for 30 days; aggregate heatmap data for up to 9 months.
- Share-link log — around 13 months, then pruned.
7. Your choices
- Opt out of Google Analytics — install the official opt-out add-on, or block it with any tracker blocker.
- Opt out of Clarity — any tracker blocker stops it, as does enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" or blocking third-party cookies.
- Delete your data — email me and I will remove your contact message and any associated records.
- Ask what I hold about you — email me and I will tell you.
You do not need a legal reason to ask, and there is no charge.
8. Third-party links
Pages here link out to the App Store, Google Play, GitHub and similar sites. Once you follow a link you are on their service, under their privacy policy, not this one.
9. Children
This site is aimed at a professional audience and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the site.
