MorseLab Privacy Policy

Effective June 25, 2026 · Bimal Khatri · khattribimal90@gmail.com

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use MorseLab (the "App"), why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It is effective as of June 25, 2026 and applies to MorseLab on ios and android.

MorseLab is built and operated by Bimal Khatri, the developer responsible for your information (the "data controller").

In this policy, "you" means the person using the App, and "personal information" means information that identifies or relates to you.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information described below. We do not collect categories of data that are not listed here.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device information — device model, operating-system version, unique device identifiers, language, and region — to operate the App and keep it compatible with your device.
  • Usage data — features used, screens viewed, interaction events, and time spent — to understand how the App is used and improve it.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs — to detect, diagnose, and fix bugs and crashes.

This may also include your IP address and device identifiers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • to provide, maintain, and operate MorseLab;
  • to understand how the App is used and to improve it;
  • to diagnose and fix crashes and bugs;
  • to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
  • to comply with our legal obligations.

We use your information only for the purposes listed above.

We do not sell or share your personal information.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Contract — to provide MorseLab.
  • Consent — for analytics, where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep MorseLab secure, prevent fraud, and improve the App.
  • Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

MorseLab uses cookies and similar technologies (such as device identifiers and software development kits) to operate and improve the App:

  • Analytics — Google Firebase helps us understand how the App is used.

On mobile you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings.

If you are in the EEA or UK, we set non-essential cookies and tracking technologies only after you give consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only in the following ways:

  • Service providers — companies that process data on our behalf (such as hosting and infrastructure) and are bound to use it only as we instruct.
  • Google Firebase — for backend services, analytics, and crash reporting. See https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
  • Legal and safety — to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Bimal Khatri, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if the App is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above:

  • Usage and analytics data — retained for a limited period (typically up to 14 to 26 months), then deleted or aggregated.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs — retained for a limited period, then deleted.

Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a short time before they are overwritten. We delete or anonymize data once it is no longer needed.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States, where some of our providers (such as Google) operate. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, adequacy decisions, or providers certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Data Security

We use reasonable, industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls on a need-to-know basis, and review of the providers we work with.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Your Privacy Rights

You can ask us to:

  • access a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information; and
  • receive your information in a portable format.

You can also change app permissions (such as location and notifications) and reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.

To make a request, email khattribimal90@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy Request". We respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, your national data protection authority).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent to act on your behalf.

We have not sold or shared your personal information in the past 12 months. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

Children's Privacy

MorseLab is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is greater). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we learn that we have, we delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided personal information can contact khattribimal90@gmail.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you through the App. Please review this policy periodically.
